Description
The Old Post Office is a house dating from the mid to late 17th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled thatch roof with ridge and end stacks made of stone finished in brick. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys high with a five-window range. There are timber lintels above a 20th-century door and early 20th-century two-light casement windows. To the left, there is a mid-19th-century square bay window and a two-storey bay also from the mid-19th century, made of limestone rubble and topped with a late 19th-century tile roof. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have chamfered beams.
