Description
Oakdene is a house dating from the early 18th century, with an extension added in the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled thatch roof, which is half-hipped to the left, along with a brick ridge stack. The building has a three-unit plan and stands two storeys tall, presenting a three-window range. There is a 20th-century round-arched porch leading to a 20th-century door located to the left of the centre. The windows are late 19th-century two-light casements with glazing bars, and there are timber lintels above them. To the right, there is an early 19th-century two-storey bay with brick end stacks. Inside, the central room includes an open fireplace with a wooden bressumer.
