Description

Homelands is a small house dating from 1617, as indicated by the datestone. It is constructed of limestone rubble with wooden lintels and features a thatched roof with rubble and brick stacks. The house has a two-unit plan and consists of one storey plus an attic. The front of the house has a central six-panel door set within a wooden porch, which is flanked by settles. On either side of the door, there are two-light casement windows, and to the far right, there is a tiny window that may have once lit a smoke bay. The roof includes a two-light dormer on the right side, a stack near the right gable, and two rubble-based gable stacks flanking the apex on the left. The datestone above the gable window is inscribed with "0W/1617". The interior has not been inspected.
