Description

The Bloxham War Memorial is made of Horton stone and stands 5.5 meters high. It features a wheel-head cross with decorative details, which is set on a spiral-twisted Doric column atop a square plinth. The plinth has slate plaques with inscriptions. The south plaque reads "1914 – 1919/ THEY GAVE - WE HAVE/ THE GREAT WARS/ 1939 – 1945," while the east plaque lists "1939 – 1945/ (NAMES)." The other two faces of the plinth display additional plaques with names. The memorial is situated on a circular three-stepped base that rests on a paved platform.
