Description
This is a cottage, probably from the 18th century or earlier, located on Little Bridge Road in Bloxham. It is built from coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched hipped thatched roof with two brick end stacks. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic. The central entrance is covered by a thatched hood and is flanked by two 20th-century casement windows. There are two similar windows in the attic. The cottage is situated on an interesting low-level site that aligns with the earlier road, Little Bridge Road, while the current High Street was constructed around 1815 by the Trustees of the Banbury and Chipping Norton Turnpike. This building is included for its group value.
