Cottage. Circa late C17, extended in C2O. Limestone rubble, brought to course at front and rear and with dressed quoins. Thatched roof with gabled ends. Integral stack at east end with rebuilt brick shaft. Plan: Small 1-cell cottage with integral stack ast right hand (E) end. The axial division with service room at the back was probably a later alteration. Later extension on E end. Exterior: 1 storey and attic. C20 panelled and glazed door on left with timber lintel. Circa late C19 3-light bay window on right of centre with glazing bars. Small single-light window on right. Eaves thatch eyebrow over circa late C19 4-pane sash to right of centre over ground floor bay window. Circa C18 1,2 and 3-light casements at rear (N) with glazing bars and timber lintels. 2-light casement in W gable end. INTERIOR: Exposed joists and unchamfered axial beam over partition between front and back rooms. Front room has large stone fireplace with cranked chamfered timber lintel with stops and ovens: Plank doors, Victorian chimneypiece in chamber. Purlins and principal rafters exposed in chambers, the principals crossed at apex with ridgepiece, common rafters and battens intact.
