Description
Woodbine Cottage is a cottage that likely dates from the early 18th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a thatched roof with a brick stack on the left side. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic. The central door, which is from the 20th century, is flanked by 20th-century casement windows. There are also two 20th-century casements in the attic, with 20th-century lintels above them. The ironstone quoins are notable, particularly the one on the right, which is inscribed with the name Thomas Hawtin Bloxham. At the back, there is a single-storey outshut. Woodbine Cottage is situated at a low level, reflecting the earlier route of the main road through Bloxham before 1815 along Old Bridge Road. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is included for its group value.
