Description
Dunston is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is built of coursed squared marlstone with wooden lintels and has a thatched roof with brick stacks. The house has a four-unit plan and consists of two builds, standing two storeys high. The front has four windows featuring small two-light casements of various sizes, all of which have been renewed. The third bay includes a doorway, while the fourth bay has two ground-floor windows and a blocked doorway. The first and second bays may be slightly older. The roof has stacks located to the right of the first, second, and fourth bays. The left gable wall shows an exposed truss, likely from a now-demolished adjoining building. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have a large open fireplace.
