Description
Lime Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century. It is constructed from coursed marlstone rubble and features wooden lintels, topped with a concrete plain-tile roof and brick end stacks. The house has a two-unit lobby-entry plan and stands two storeys tall. The front has three windows, with old three-light casements in the first two bays. The third bay is positioned at the far right, aligned with a stack, and includes a similar window above a segmental-arched entrance that has a four-panel door. There are signs of early alterations, including a former doorway to the right of the first bay. The roof is steep-pitched. The interior has not been inspected, but it is likely to contain a large chimney breast on the right.
