Description
Farthing Cottage is a cottage dating from the early to mid-18th century. It is built of coursed squared marlstone with wooden lintels and has a concrete plain-tile roof with a brick gable stack. The cottage has a single-unit plan and stands two storeys high. The front has two windows, featuring renewed two-light casements on the first floor, while the ground floor retains an older casement and has a plank door positioned to the left. The right gable wall includes additional casements. The roof is steeply pitched. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have 18th-century panelled shutters. The cottage is included for its group value.
