Description
This cottage, dating from the 17th century, is located on the south side of Milton High Street, opposite Post Cottage. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched thatched roof with a brick end stack. The cottage has a two-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic, with a two-window range on the street elevation.
To the left, there is a small rectangular window with a pointed arched hood mould. To the right, two-light metal casements have been inserted within stone surrounds, and there are fragmentary remains of a head mould. The attic contains two small wooden casements.
At the rear, a plank door is located to the left, featuring a moulded wood surround and a renewed wooden lintel. To the right, there are two metal casements with wooden lintels, along with two additional metal casements in the attic. A bread oven bulge is present on the left end of the cottage. Inside, the cottage features stone flag floors and plank doors.
