Description
Ashley Fernham is a house that has been divided into two residences, dating from the 18th century. It is constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a Welsh slate roof with three brick stacks along the ridge and at the ends, one of which is partially made of stone. The building has a three-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic, with a four-window range. The entrance features two panelled doors with moulded wooden frames and wooden lintels. The ground floor has three 3-light metal casements, also with wooden lintels, while the attic contains four 3-light metal casements with wooden lintels. At the rear, the structure remains single storey plus attic and has a twin shafted stack at one end, along with a blocked 2-light stone mullion that includes a hood mould. Inside, there is a chamfered bressumer above the inglenook fireplace.
