Description

Glebe Farmhouse is a 17th-century farmhouse, with a datestone indicating 1694 and another from 1876. It is constructed of regular coursed ironstone rubble, with a steeply pitched plain tile roof and stone stacks at the sides. The building follows a T-plan layout. The front elevation has two storeys and two windows. A small, blocked rectangular window is on the left, and a three-light stone mullioned window with a hood mould and label stops is to the right. The attic has a renewed tall four-light stone mullioned window to the left and a two-light stone mullioned window to the right, both with hood moulds and label stops. A datestone of 1876 is visible on the left end, likely marking a period of rebuilding. The farmhouse has a 19th-century doorway. Inside, there are stone flag floors, a large four-centred arched stone fireplace in the kitchen, stone steps leading to a cellar, and a wooden winder staircase.
