Description

Milton Cottage is a house located on Milton High Street, dating from the 17th to early 18th century. It is constructed of regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched thatched roof with two brick stacks at the ends and along the ridge. The building has a three-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic, with a six-window range. There is a 20th-century doorway to the left and three 20th-century windows to the right, along with a flocked door to the right and five 20th-century windows in the attic. The windows have chamfered lintels. Inside, the cottage contains stop-chamfered beams and chamfered joists. It is included for its group value.
