Description

Ivydene is a house located in Shenington, dating from the mid to late 17th century with later alterations. It is built of coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched thatched roof, which extends over a single-storey outshot at the rear. The house has stone ridge and end stacks. The layout consists of two units plus an additional unit on the right, and it is single storey with an attic. The entrance is located at the rear. On the ground floor, there are two renewed 3-light casement windows with wooden lintels. The eyebrow dormer also has a renewed window. The right part of the building may have been a former barn, which is now used as a garage. The interior has not been inspected.
