Description
Canada Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century, with later alterations. It is built of coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched thatched roof. The house has three stone and brick stacks at the ridge and ends. It has a two-unit plan and a one-window range. On the ground floor, there is a three-light metal casement window with a wooden lintel, a blocked window with a square stone surround (known as a fire window), and another three-light metal casement window with a wooden lintel, stone surround, hood mould, and label stops. There is a half-dormer with a two-light wooden casement and wooden lintel. The entrance is located at the rear of the house. The interior has not been inspected.
