Description

Sunnyside is a mid-17th century house constructed from coursed limestone rubble, featuring a steeply pitched thatched roof. The gable end faces the road, and the building has a stone-coped gable with a moulded kneeler on the right. It includes a brick ridge stack and a stone ridge stack with a stone base. The house has a three-unit plan, along with a 19th-century single-unit, single-storey extension on the left. It is one and a half storeys tall and has a three-window range with two entrances.

The left entrance features a 4-centred, chamfered stone doorway with a plank door. The entrance on the right has a plank door within a moulded wood frame and a stone lintel. To the right of the entrances, there is a three-light stone mullioned window with a hood mould and label stops, followed by a centrally located two-light casement window. On the left, there is another three-light stone mullioned window with a hood mould and label stops. The attic includes two half-dormers, one with a three-light stone mullioned window with a hood mould and label stops, and another with three-light metal casements in wood frames and wood lintels. Additionally, there is a three-light stone mullioned window with metal casements on the right side.

The right gable end facing the street features two three-light and one two-light stone mullioned windows, all with hood moulds and label stops. Inside, the house contains inglenook fireplaces, stop-chamfered beams, and a straight flight stair.
