Description

Honeybee Cottage is a pair of cottages, now combined into a single dwelling, dating from the late 17th century. The building is constructed of roughly-coursed ironstone rubble, with a thatched roof and a brick end stack set on a stone base. It follows a two-unit plan with a single storey and an attic. A 20th-century stable door, protected by a timber lintel, provides access. The ground floor features 20th-century windows with timber lintels, and there is one attic window. Inside, the roof largely retains its original character, with common rafters and stays. A notable inglenook fireplace, a chamfered beam, and a winder stair are also present.
