Description

The Manor House is a manor house, now a house, dating to 1607. It has undergone alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed from squared, coursed ironstone rubble with a steeply pitched tile roof, renewed stone ridge tiles, and stone stacks at the ends. It follows a three-unit through-passage plan, with two storeys plus an attic, and has a five-window front.

The central entrance, off-centre to the right, features a cambered arched head, hood mould, a renewed label stop, and a renewed door. It is flanked by a three-light and a four-light stone mullioned window on either side, the left-hand window being renewed. The ground floor also has two-light and four-light stone mullioned windows. The first floor has four three-light and one two-light stone mullioned windows, all with hood moulds and label stops. Three gabled dormers, each with two-light stone mullions, are present in the attic. Stone-coped gables are visible, with a finial on the left.

Internally, the house includes a wooden winder stair, a hall, a kitchen, and a parlour, together with an original tie beam and collar truss roof. The interior was not inspected during the listing process.
