Description
Old Mullions is a house dating from the mid-17th century, constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble with a red tile roof. The building features a renewed stone ridge and end stacks and has a three-unit plan. It is a single storey plus attic with a three-window range. The entrance, located to the left, has a 20th-century plank door with a continuous hood mould and label stops. To the right of the entrance is a four-light stone-mullioned window with ovolo section, and further right is another four-light stone-mullioned and transomed window, both with hood moulds and label stops. To the left, there is a three-light stone-mullioned window with a splayed section, also featuring a hood mould and label stop. The house has three gabled half-dormers, each with three-light stone-mullioned windows that include hood moulds and label stops, all with splayed sections. Wrought-iron casement fasteners are present. The right wall has renewed stonework in grey limestone. The interior has not been inspected.
