Description
Home Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed of red brick laid in Flemish bond, with limestone dressings. It features a steeply pitched red tile roof with stone-coped gables and brick end stacks. The building has a double-depth plan and stands two storeys plus an attic, with a three-window range. The central entrance includes a six-panelled door framed in moulded wood, topped by an overlight with glazing bars and a keystoned brick head. Flanking the entrance are 16-pane sash windows with horns, cambered brick keystoned heads, and stone sills. On the first floor, there are three smaller sash windows without horns. The roof has three gabled dormers with horizontal sliding sashes that also have glazing bars. The farmhouse features a limestone plinth and quoins, a stone flat band at the first floor, and a moulded and chamfered stone eaves cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
