Description
Hook Car Hill Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, topped with a graduated stone slate roof. The building stands two storeys high and features a symmetrical three-bay elevation, with a lower 19th-century wing on the right side that is of no special interest. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door set within a stone architrave that has a shouldered bottom and a double keystone. All windows are sash style with glazing bars, stone sills, and stuccoed flat arches, with the ground floor windows being lengthened. The farmhouse is adorned with dentilled eaves, shaped kneelers, stone coping, and end stacks. Inside, there is a dogleg staircase with turned balusters.
