Description

Lancaster House and attached outbuildings is a farmhouse with origins dating back to the early 18th century, but it was dated 1797. The structure is built from rubblestone and red brick, featuring ashlar and red brick dressings, with a roof made of machine tiles and pantiles. The main house has a lobby-entry plan and consists of two storeys with two bays. To the left, there is a single-storey outbuilding, and to the right, a two-storey, one-bay outbuilding that is set back.

The main house displays ashlar quoins and has a central six-panel door, with the top two panels glazed, set within a quoined surround that features a raised keystone. Above the door is a tablet inscribed with "B T C 1797". The window openings are from the 19th century, featuring side-sliding sashes with stone sills and segmental brick arches. The roof has shaped kneelers, stone coping, and is covered with machine tiles. There are end stacks and a large central stack.

The left-hand outbuilding has three double carriage board doors and an end stack to the left. The right-hand outbuilding has a low one-storey outshut in front of it, with the main front constructed of brick. On the first floor, there is a 12-pane side-sliding sash window with a flat brick arch above it, along with an eaves band and a hipped roof.
