Description
Langton Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond with stone dressings, and features random rubble at the rear and in the wing. The roof is covered with concrete tiles. The building has two storeys and three bays, with a lower kitchen wing located at the rear left. The entrance includes a half-glazed door with an overlight, set within a quoined surround and topped by a keyed lintel. The windows are 4-pane sashes with flat stone arches above them. There is an eaves band and stone coping along the roofline, with end stacks for ventilation. At the rear, there is a round-arched stair window featuring a brick arch and keystone. Inside, the dog-leg staircase is adorned with splat balusters. The rear room of the kitchen wing contains 18th-century ale-brewing coppers.
