Description

Bargrove Farmhouse is a late 18th-century farmhouse constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a plain tile roof. It is a double-depth building with attics and a cellar, set upon a brick plinth. The roof is hipped, and features gable end stacks to the left and rear, along with two small gabled dormers. The eaves slightly project to the front, incorporating flat soffits. The front facade is regular, with three windows consisting of two 16-pane sashes and a central 12-pane sash, all in open boxes. Ground-floor windows are adorned with splayed painted brick voussoirs, each featuring a slightly raised keystone. A central panelled door leads to the entrance, accessed by two steps and surmounted by a 3-light rectangular fanlight and architrave incorporating Doric pilasters, a plain frieze, and a slight cornice. The interior remains uninspected.
