Description
Frogholt House is a house, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier, with later 19th-century and 20th-century additions and alterations. The house is timber-framed, with the ground floor constructed of galleted stone with brick dressings, and the first floor tile-hung. It has a plain tile roof. The main range of the house is accompanied by a narrower cross-wing to the right. A continuous jetty is present on the main range, while the right wing features a slightly more prominent jetty with jettied eaves supported by brackets. The left side of the house has a hipped roof, and the right wing has a hipped roof to the front. There are multiple brick ridge stacks to the left of the centre of the main range and a brick stack to the right side of the wing. The fenestration is irregular, with five two-light casement windows—four to the main range and one to the wing. A ribbed door with a three-light fanlight is located under an open timber porch beneath the stack. A long, single-storey galleted stone addition is present at the right gable end, incorporating a stable door. Various additions are found at the rear of the property. The interior has not been inspected.
