Description
The Old Vicarage is a building that was originally a row of houses, now serving as a single residence. The right section dates from the 16th century or earlier, while the left section is from the 19th century, possibly incorporating an earlier core. The right section features a timber frame with rendered infilling, while the left section is constructed of red brick in Flemish bond. The roof is covered with plain tiles. The right section likely serves as a cross-wing and is jettied. The roof slopes to the left with a gablet, and the wing has a hipped roof at the front, with slightly higher eaves and ridge. There is a central brick ridge stack on the left section and a projecting brick stack towards the rear on the right side of the wing. The building has irregular fenestration, featuring three 2-light casements—two on the left section and one on the right. The eaves extend over the windows of the left section, creating gables adorned with cusped bargeboards and pendants. The window on the right section includes a moulded wooden cill. There is a blocked door at the left end and a boarded door at the right end of the left section, both with segmental heads, the latter situated under a gabled bracketed porch. The interior has not been inspected.
