Description
This is a house, likely dating from the 17th century or earlier, with an addition from the early to mid-19th century on its left side. The right-hand section is timber-framed, with red and grey brick cladding from two distinct periods on the right, and channelled render on the left. The left-side addition is also channelled render. The roof is tiled. The original right section comprises a main range and a cross-wing to the left. The cross-wing projects to the rear, with two short wings set at right angles to it and parallel to the rear of the main range. A single-storey rear addition from the 19th century extends from the right side of the main range, while a parallel rear range is attached to the left addition. The right section sits on a galleted stone plinth. The main range has one-and-a-half storeys, and the cross-wing has two. The left addition is two storeys with a rendered plat band. The roof of the main range is hipped to the right, the wing to the front, and the roof of the left section is hipped. A red brick stack with a cogged cornice is located at the left end of the main range, and another is found at the rear towards the right end. A gable end stack is present at the left end of the left addition. Two hipped eaves dormers are visible on the main range. A single three-light first-floor casement window is on the cross-wing. The ground-floor windows have segmental heads. The left addition has a regular three-window front with recessed sash windows with margin lights. There is a half-glazed door under a half-glazed porch to the right of the ridge stack, and a central panelled door with a rectangular fanlight to the left addition. The interior has not been inspected.
