Description

This is a house, dating back to the 17th century, with later additions from the 18th and 19th centuries. The original section is timber-framed and covered with roughcast render, with some areas cased or rebuilt in brick. Rear extensions are constructed of chequered brick and red brick. The roof is tiled, with a hipped roof to the 18th-century rear addition. The house is arranged in a T-shape, two stories high. The southwest-facing front elevation's left-hand block features two five-light casement windows on each floor. The right-hand gable has a 19th-century canted bay window to the ground floor, with sash windows, and a three-light casement window above. All casement windows have leaded lights. The main block has a doorway adjacent to the cross-wing, featuring a plank door and a flat hood supported by cut brackets. A substantial external red brick chimney stack is located at the centre of the rear elevation. The cross-wing has an integral brick chimney stack on its side.
