Description
This is an 18th-century house located in Stotfold. It is constructed of pink brick with a clay tile roof featuring a zig-zag pattern. The house has a two-room plan, two storeys, and attic space, with a narrow gabled staircase wing projecting from the centre of the south elevation. The house presents a gabled end to the road. Brick bands are visible at first floor level and at the attic level of the staircase gable. The gables are finished with brick coping, rebuilt in the 20th century. Casement windows of two lights are found throughout. The north elevation has a glazed front door and four windows on the ground floor, three windows on the first floor, and a pair of gabled dormers in the attic, with diamond-leaded lights. The ground floor window and door openings have segmental brick heads. A red brick stack is located along the ridge, in line with the staircase gable. On the south elevation, small 20th-century lean-tos are situated on either side of the staircase gable, and a 20th-century gabled porch is centrally positioned.
