Description

The Garden House is a house dating from the late 17th century, with some stonework on the windows renewed in the 20th century. It is constructed of squared coursed limestone and features a steeply pitched stone slate roof laid to diminishing courses. The house has a stone end stack on the left and a brick end stack on the right. It is two storeys plus an attic in an L-plan layout.

The entrance is recessed and located off-centre to the right, featuring a panelled door with four glazed panels, a hood mould, and a label stop. To the left of the entrance, there is a three-light stone-mullioned window and a two-light stone-mullioned window. The first floor has three three-light stone-mullioned windows, all of which have hood moulds, label stops, and lead cames. There are also two hipped stone-slate-roofed dormers.

At the rear, there is a single-storey-plus-attic range along the roadside, which has a red tiled roof and renewed stone mullioned windows, along with gabled dormers. The building was formerly known as the Gardener's Cottage, part of the Honington Hall Estate. The interior has not been inspected.
