Description
Longworth is a house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations primarily from the 19th century. It is constructed of squared, coursed ironstone and features a 20th-century tiled roof. The left gable has stone coping and a moulded kneeler, with renewed concrete ridge and end stacks. The building has a four-unit plan, plus a barn that is now part of the house, forming an L shape. It is a single storey with an attic.
The entrance, located to the left, has a panelled and glazed door flanked by two 3-light wood casements, one featuring a stone lintel and the other a wood lintel. To the right of the entrance are two 2-light casements, both with wood lintels. The first floor has four 2-light wood casements with wood frames, wrought-iron casement fasteners, and wood lintels. There is a tiled, single-storey rectangular bread oven projection on the right side. The left gable features 19th-century three-light stone mullioned windows. The barn attached to the rear left of the house was once used as a butcher's shop. Inside, the house has chamfered beams and joists.
