Description
This is a barn and attached outbuildings located approximately 15 meters west of Mill House. The barn dates from the late 17th century, while the stable on the left has a datestone marked J.S./1818, and the cowhouse on the right has a datestone marked J.S./1836. The structure is built from coursed limestone rubble and features gabled stone slate roofs, with a Welsh slate roof on the right.
The four-bay barn has double doors positioned to the right of the center. The cowhouse includes timber lintels above two small windows flanking a central doorway, with jamb-posts that are pegged and tenoned into the lintel. The stable has plank doors leading to the loft and below, with timber lintels over one-light windows. Doveholes are present in the left gable wall. Inside, the barn features a four-bay collar-truss roof with butt purlins and an oak plank threshing floor. This building is included for its group value.
