Description
The Mill is a building that was originally a mill and is now a house. It dates from the late 16th century and has later extensions. The structure is made of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled roof covered with artificial stone slate. It has a T-plan layout with a front wing and stands two storeys tall.
On the left side, there is a two-window range with timber lintels above two wide doorways leading to a through-passage. These doorways have old plank doors set in chamfered heavy pegged frames, and there are timber lintels over 20th-century casements. The central front wing includes a 20th-century door to the left, 20th-century casements, and an 18th-century two-light leaded casement. To the right, there is a bay with a timber lintel over a plank door.
An outbuilding, which was formerly a granary, is located to the left and features a timber lintel over a blocked double entry, as well as doveholes with stone perches under the eaves. Inside, the mill retains twin breast-shot wheels.
