Description
This is an early 18th-century barn situated approximately 10 metres north of the farmhouse at Shutford Grounds Farm. Constructed of ironstone ashlar, the barn has a steeply pitched slate roof with stone coped gables and moulded kneelers. It comprises five bays, featuring wide doors leading to the threshing floor, although one door is missing. The barn retains its original butt purlin roof structure, which includes principals, collars, tiebeams, and butt purlins. Shutford Grounds Farm is historically associated with New College, Oxford.
