SP4631 DEDDINGTON GOOSE GREEN (West side) 8/164 Castle View

GV II Small house. 1757 on datestone. Coursed squared marlstone with ashlar dressings; Stonesfield-slate roof with brick end stacks. 2-unit plan. 2 storeys. Symmetrical 3-window front with ashlar storeyband has a central 4-panel door below a small inserted window, and has 2-light casements in the outer bays, all with ashlar segmental arches and projecting keyblocks. A moulded keyed oval panel, to extreme right at first floor, is inscribed "H/IM/1757". Roof, of moderate pitch, has gable parapets. Interior not inspected.
