Description

No. 3 Philcote Street is a small house that was formerly sub-divided, dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, with possible alterations in the 19th century. The building is constructed from coursed squared marlstone and features wooden lintels, topped with a concrete plain-tile roof and a brick ridge stack. It has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall. The front of the house has two 2-light 20th-century casement windows on each floor, with one window projecting above the eaves. There are entrances located at the extreme left and right of the façade. The steep-pitched roof is adorned with a central clustered stack. Although the interior has not been inspected, it is noted to contain two open fireplaces. This house is included for its group value.
