Description

Red Lion Cottage is a small house located on the west side of Deddington Market Place. It dates from the early 18th century, with some parts possibly being older. The building is constructed from coursed squared marlstone and features wooden lintels, topped with a Stonesfield-slate roof. It has a two-unit plan and stands three storeys high. The front of the cottage has two windows, rising from a chamfered plinth. The first floor features large three-light leaded casements, while the upper floor has shorter renewed casements. At the ground floor, there is a single large opening that now contains the door and a three-light casement. The roof is steeply pitched. The interior has not been inspected.
