Description

Laurel House is a shop and dwelling, likely dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of marlstone ashlar with paler ashlar dressings, and has a Welsh-slate roof punctuated by brick gable stacks. The building follows a double-depth plan, and stands three storeys high with a two-window front. A blocked central doorway is flanked by canted bay windows, while the first floor has original 12-pane sash windows. The second-floor windows are 20th-century replacements. The roof is shallow-pitched. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
