Description

Iden Green Cottages, located on the north side of Cranbrook Road in Goudhurst, is a house that was originally a pair, dating from the 17th century or earlier, with alterations made in the early 19th century. The building is timber-framed and tile hung on a rendered base, topped with a plain tiled roof. It features a four-bay lobby entry plan and stands two storeys high with a half-hipped roof that has gablets. There are stacks positioned to the centre left and a larger stack to the centre right. The first floor has three wooden casement windows, while the ground floor has two metal casements and a central wooden casement. Boarded doors are located at both ends of the building, each set in simple surrounds. At the rear, there is a catslide outshot.
