Old Hammers is a house located in Rushden Mill End, dating from the early to mid 17th century. It features a timber frame that is rendered and has a tiled roof. The building has a lobby entry and is arranged in three cells across four bays, standing two storeys high. The entrance is positioned to the left of the centre. Each floor has three three-light casement windows with flush timber frames and leaded lights. The exterior displays panelled pargetting and a T-shaped ridge stack located behind the entrance. There is a small hipped projection on the right end that includes a second entrance. The left gable end is roughcast and has a first-floor two-light casement window with exposed purlins. At the rear, there is a catslide roof over a lean-to outshut, which features a two-light casement window on the left end.
