Description
The Peakcock Inn is a public house located on Cranbrook Road in Goudhurst. It dates from the 17th century or earlier and features a timber-framed structure that is weatherboarded on a painted brick base. The building has two storeys, with stacks projecting at the right end and a large cluster of stacks at the left end. On the first floor, there are two three-light casements and a central two-light casement. The ground floor has two three-light casements, with a two-light casement on both the left and right in lean-to outshots. The entrance consists of central paired panelled doors beneath a single raking hood, which has a trefoiled central gable. At the rear, there is a wing that has one storey and an attic, featuring hipped dormers and an outshot on the ground floor.
