Description
Little Cot is a house located on the north side of Goudhurst High Street. It dates back to the 17th century and was extended in the 20th century. The building features a timber frame that is infilled and clad with red brick, along with tile hanging on the first floor. It has a plain tiled roof and stands two storeys high with a garret, set on a plinth. The roof is hipped, and there is a stack at the end right, which is combined with the stack of the adjacent Pharmacy Cottage. A hipped dormer is present on the left return. The house has metal casements and wooden casements on each floor, with a three-light wooden casement on the first floor and a four-light wooden casement on the ground floor. The left end bay, which has metal casements, is a mid-20th century extension or rebuild, featuring a half-glazed door on the left return.
