Description
Mount Ephraim Post Office consists of three houses built around 1830. They are three storeys high and have a stucco finish. The buildings feature an eaves cornice and a stringcourse above the ground and first floors. Each house has one sash window, most of which retain their glazing bars. Originally, there were curved bay windows on all floors of each house, but the ground floor bay windows of Nos 31 and 33 have been cut away. There are pilasters at the outer ends of Nos 31 and 35 that extend from the first to the second floors. All the houses have modern shop fronts. No 33 has lost its round-headed doorcase, which previously had a segmental fanlight and a six-panel moulded door. The buildings are included for their group value, as they form a cohesive group with Nos 29 to 37 (odd).
