Description

Nos 41 and 43 Mount Ephraim are a pair of buildings dated 1869, featuring the initials R E H. They stand three storeys high with a basement and are finished in stucco. The buildings have a hipped slate roof with a central chimney stack and a bracket eaves cornice. The long and short quoins add to their architectural detail. There are two sash windows set in moulded architraves, with two 3-light bays on the first floor that include cast iron balconettes. The shopfronts are later additions. Nos 41 to 45 (odd) form a group with Nos 20 to 24 (even) Mount Ephraim Road.
