Description
This barn, located about 25 metres south-west of Holmans, dates back to the 16th century and was altered around 1800. It is constructed with a timber frame and is weather-boarded, topped with a slate roof. The barn features a gabled roof with central boarded cart doors that have strap hinges, as well as boarded doors to the left and at the end left in an outshot, which are fitted with strap-locks and hinges. Inside, the barn consists of three bays, with a framed-off threshing floor and inward-sloping braces, and it has a renewed Queen post roof. Historical records from the 16th and 17th centuries refer to it as the Tile Barn.
