Description

HAWKHURST SLIP MILL ROAD TQ 73 SE (east side) 10/432 Barn about 25 metres south-west of Holmans GV II Barn. C16 and altered c.1800. Timber framed and weather-boarded with slate roof. Gabled roof with central boarded cart doors with strap hinges and boarded doors to left and to end left in outshot, with strap-locks and hinges. Interior: 3 bays with framed-off threshing floor and inward-sloping braces; renewed Queen post roof. Referred to in C16 and C17 deeds as the Tile Barn.
