Description
This is an early 19th-century oast house located about 130 metres east of Nursery Farmhouse in Goudhurst. The building features a timber-framed stowage that is weatherboarded, resting on a red brick ground floor, which includes a red brick roundel. The roofs are plain tiled. The two-storey stowage has a gabled design and includes a protruding wooden pipe on the right side, which was used to accommodate the upper shape of the hop-press when it was raised. On the first floor, there is a wooden casement window and a loft door on the return gable. The ground floor has a boarded door along with carriage doors on the return elevation. To the left, there is a roundel topped with a conical tiled roof and a wooden cowl.
