Description
Manor Farm Oast is an oasthouse dating from the late 18th century to early 19th century. It features a two-storey stowage that is timber framed and clad with weatherboarding, along with three circular brick oasts attached at one end. The roof is tiled and was formerly half-hipped at one end. The stowage has two four-light fixed casements and a central loading door, while the ground floor includes 20th-century ledged and braced plank double doors. Inside, there is a queenpost roof with through purlins and diagonal braces, and the structure has jowled upright posts. The building consists of three bays. The oasts are constructed in Flemish bond with mainly grey brick headers, featuring a cogged brick eaves cornice and a truncated conical roof, which at the time of the survey did not have cowls or fantails.
