Description
This is an oasthouse located about 50 metres north-east of Riseden Farmhouse, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of red and blue brick in English bond, with a timber frame clad in weatherboarding. The roofs are covered with plain tiles and asbestos tiles. The building features two storeys of stowage, with double boarded loft doors and a carriage entry in the gable end. There is a mullioned casement window on the first floor and a boarded door on the ground floor of the return elevation. The roundel has corbelled brick eaves, although the cowl is missing, it still retains the winder. Attached to the east is a secondary gabled stowage that is one storey high with a loft, featuring a tiled roof, weather boarded gable, a boarded loft door, and double cart doors in the gable end.
