Description

Riseden Farm Cottages is a pair of cottages dating from around 1700, with a possibly earlier core. They are constructed of red brick with tile hanging on the first floor and feature a plain tiled roof. The cottages are two storeys high, built on a sandstone base. The chimneys project and are offset at the left end, while the right end has clustered, moulded chimneys that are twice offset. There are four wooden casement windows on the first floor and three on the ground floor, along with boarded doors on both sides. Single storey outshots project to the left and right, returning to the main structure. Inside, many fittings and brick flooring from the 18th century and early 19th century are still present.
